Teaching
In all my courses, my central objective is to introduce students to a multilingual, multiracial, and transnational Italian identity, one that embraces difference and speaks more directly to the lived experiences of students from immigrant and underrepresented backgrounds.
Guiding students through the difficult process of revisiting and contextualizing romanticized ideas about Italy requires empathy, care, and thoughtfully designed assessments that center self-reflection, critical awareness, and collaboration.
